These terms apply to your use of 49thstatelawnsnow.com and to any lawn care, cleanup, aeration, snow plowing or other services you book with 49th State Lawn & Snow ("we," "us"). By using the site or booking service, you agree to these terms. If something here conflicts with a written agreement or proposal you've signed with us, the signed agreement controls.
Service area
We serve Palmer and parts of the Mat-Su Valley. Snow plowing is currently offered only in Lazy Mountain and Butte. Service areas can change by season, and we may decline work outside our routes.
Quotes and pricing
Prices shown on this site and in the quote tool are based on the information you give us, like lot size, square footage or driveway size. They are estimates until we confirm them. If your property turns out to be larger, harder to access, or needs more work than described, we'll tell you the adjusted price before we start. Custom add-ons and properties over the listed sizes are quoted on-site. Prices may change without notice, but a price we've confirmed with you for a booked job won't change unless the scope changes.
Monthly plans
Monthly lawn care and sanding plans are billed once a month for the service period. Lawn care season runs May through September, depending on the weather. Snow plowing is billed per push, only for the storms we plow. No contract is required for any of our services. You can cancel at any time by calling, texting or emailing us, and cancellation of a monthly plan takes effect at the end of the current billing month. Monthly plan pricing stays the same regardless of how many visits the weather calls for in a given month, within the terms of the plan you choose. Sanding visits beyond the number included in your plan are billed at the extra-visit rate.
Season deals
From time to time we offer a special deal, such as a free gutter cleaning, in exchange for committing to a full season of service. A season deal is the only time you're under contract with us. If you accept one, you agree to stay on your plan through the end of the season stated in the offer. If you cancel early, we may bill you the regular price of the free or discounted service you received. We'll confirm the terms of any season deal with you in writing, by text or email, when you sign up.
Scheduling and weather
Route days are fixed whenever possible. Weather in Alaska is unpredictable, so we may move a visit if conditions make the work unsafe or would damage your property. Weather-related visits are rescheduled, not skipped, and we'll let you know when a visit moves. Seasonal services like fall cleanup and aeration depend on ground conditions and freeze-up, and we can't guarantee a booking date once the season closes.
Snow plowing and sanding
- Plowing is dispatched automatically once about 4 inches of snow has fallen on our route. During heavy or long storms, arrival times may vary.
- Sanding runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During a big ice event we may sand on other days. You can request a visit before your next route day for a $25 rush fee.
- Sanding plans include a set number of sandings each month. Unused sandings do not roll over to the next month.
- Please mark the edges of your driveway and anything that could be hidden under snow, such as landscaping, rocks, curbs, sprinkler heads, low walls and utility boxes. We aren't responsible for damage to unmarked objects hidden by snow.
- Plowing leaves a thin layer of snow and can't remove all ice. Sanding reduces slippery conditions but does not eliminate ice. Keep using caution on your driveway.
- Walkways, steps, roofs and mailbox areas are not included unless we agree to them in writing.
- Vehicles, trailers and other items blocking the driveway may prevent a complete plow. We'll do what we safely can.
Access to your property
You agree to give us safe access on your service day. That means unlocked gates, pets secured, and vehicles, toys and hoses moved out of the work area. Please tell us in advance about sprinkler heads, buried lines, invisible pet fences, septic components or anything fragile. If we can't safely access the property, we may charge a trip fee or reschedule.
Payment
We accept cash, check and card. Payment is due when invoiced unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. Monthly plans are billed at the start of each billing month. If an account falls behind, we may pause service until it's current. You're responsible for reasonable costs of collecting unpaid balances where the law allows.
Satisfaction and damage
If you're not happy with a visit, contact us within 48 hours and we'll come back to make it right where we reasonably can. If you believe we damaged your property, report it within 48 hours with photos so we can inspect it. We carry liability insurance. Except where the law requires otherwise, our responsibility for any claim is limited to repairing the damage we caused or the amount you paid for the service involved, and we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses. We aren't responsible for pre-existing conditions, normal wear, or damage caused by weather, frost heave, or objects we weren't told about.
Using this website
We work to keep the information on this site accurate, but it's provided as-is and may contain errors or out-of-date details. Submitting the quote tool doesn't book service. A job is booked once we confirm it with you. You agree not to misuse the site, submit false information, or try to interfere with how it works. The content, logo and photos on this site belong to 49th State Lawn & Snow and may not be copied without permission.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska. Any dispute will be handled in the state courts located in Palmer, Alaska, unless we both agree otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Booking or continuing service after an update means you accept the updated terms.
